Message	1) Yes, the rear main seal has to be tapped as far as possible. 2) No, you don't have to use liquid gasket on it. But liquid gsket is used with the oil pan gasket (the half moon rubber gasket) at both extremity. 3) While you're at it, replace the paper gasket.
